Our family moved to Pitt Farm, Branscombe in 1945. Geoff and Peggy Gibbins and two sons Peter and Bob.
Bob and wife Angela took over the farm in 1980 and one of Bob's first projects was converting the old cider and chicken barn into the Lodge which has been a successful holiday let since completion in 1982.
I'm Andrew, Bob and Angela's youngest son, and my wife Joanne and I moved into the Lodge in 2006. We fitted a kitchen, bathrooms and generally modernised. In 2008 we moved out so that the Lodge could again revert to a holiday let.
In 2009 we finally started the conversion of the three remaining stone barns on the farm, and with the help of our contractors Brain and Steve Brown of Seaton's Regency Windows (family friends) we have created The Milking Parlour, The Old Cow Stall and, named after my late father, Bob's Barn. These are three beautifully converted barns for holiday letting.
Living within the farms grounds we are constantly at hand to meet and greet you when you arrive and gain feedback on your stay. This helps us to continuously improve the quality of our accommodation. Now, with the addition of our son Tom, the fourth generation of Gibbins' at Pitt Farm, we are able to welcome you to enjoy this very beautiful part of the countryside and the outstanding village of Branscombe.
